Libellula quadrimaculata Linnaeus, 1758

A very common and widely ranging transpalaearctic species.

An aberrant male, with enormous nodal spots.

Russia, West Siberia, Novosibirsk Province, the frontier between Chistozernoe district of Novosibirsk Province and Kazakhstan, 3 km WSW of Lake Teniz (not to confuse with a large Lake Teniz in Omsk Province), 15 km SW of Novokrasnoe, village a birch grove. 21st June 1994.
