Mellicta ambigua Menetries, 1859 (= Mellicta athalia ambigua; = Melitaea athalia ambigua; = Melitaea ambigua).

Range: South Siberia eastwards of the East Sayan Mts., the Amurland, E Mongolia, NE China, the Sakhalin, Korea, Japan.

ssp.: kenteana Seitz, 1909; range: Transbaikalia, E Mongolia.

A male; wings closed.
