Erebia kefersteini Eversmann, 1851.

Two individuals resting on the same inflorescence of Allium schoenoprasum, prepared themselves to overnighting.

Range: The mountains of South Siberia (including the Altai within Kazakhstan and China) and Mongolia, from Altai to the East Sayan.

Ssp.: kefersteini Eversmann, 1851., except for SW Altai.

An alpine meadow in the valley of the left headwater of the Chikty Rivulet, 2600 m above sea level, the southern principle slope of the Yuzhno-Chuiskii mountain range, the upper Dzhazator River basin, Kosh-Agach District, Altai Republic, West SIberia, Russia. 13th July 1998. O. Kosterin.
