Somatochlora graeseri Selys, 1887 from the West Siberian Lowland and then widely inhabits Altai, Central and East Siberia, North Mongolia and the Far East, from Kamchatka to Korea, there is a report for Japan.

A large mesotrophic Lake Bannoe at Bol'shaya Okeanskaya (Bol'shaya Lagernaya) abandoned settlement, 12 km SSE of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskii, with dwarf alder bushes at this very bank, separated from Avachinskii Bay by sand spit, Kamchatka, Russia, 53œ01'00'' N, 158œ41' E, sea level, 11th July, 2003.
