Boloria (pales [Denis et Schiffermueller], 1775) roddi Kosterin, 2000

The taxon roddi has been described by me from Central and SE [Russian] Altai as more fine black marked above and more brightly and vividly coloured below than the taxon banghaasi (Seitz, 1909) from the mountains fo Central and East Siberia and Mongolia, thus tending to the Central Asian taxa of the species Boloria pales s. l. sensu Warren, 1944. Infomation available, including existance of the taxon roddi in the Altai Mts. makes me accept Warren's broad notion on the Boloria pales complex (Kosterin, 2000).
