Range: N Africa, the non-tropical Euroasia north to the middle taiga zone.
ssp.: zarevna Fruhstorfer, 1912; range: the Baikal region and Transbaikalia.
A pupa.
Reared from a larva found in the Tsasucheiski Bor pine forest at village Nizhnii Tsasuchei, SE Transbaikalia. 17th June 1995, photographed on 23rd June. Photo: O. Kosterin.
