Apatura ilia (Denis et Schiffermueller, 1775) - Lesser Purple Emperor.

Range: Europe, S Ural and, after a tremendous gap, E Transbaikalia, Amurland, Primorye, NE China, Sakhalin, S Kuriles, Korea, Japan.

ssp.: ussuriensis Kurenzov, 1937; range: the eastern part of the species range.

A male; wings closed.
