Euphydryas iduna (Dalman, 1816) - Lapland Fritillary.

Range: Fennoscandia, Caucasus, the Putorana Plateau (the northern Krasnoyarskii Krai Province), the mountains of Mongolia, South and East Siberia and the northern Far East, Kamchatka.

ssp.: alferakyi Korshunov, 1996; range: Yakutia, the Magadan Region.

wings closed.

A subalpine meadow at the dwarf pine (Pinus pumila (Pall.) Regel) thickets on the southen slope of a pass between Khindzha and Burgauli valleys, in a valley of a left tributary of the latter, about 500 m above sea level, the mountains of the Koni Peninsula, Ola District, S Magadan Province, Russia. 12th July, 1989.
