Clossiana freija (Thunberg, 1791) (= Boloria freija) - Frejya's Fritillary.

Range: the tundra, forest-tundra and forest zones and the mountains of Eurasia (south to Mongolia) and North America.

ssp: pallida Elwes, 1899 (= calais Fruhstorfer, 1916); range: the mountains of South Siberia.

A meadowy-tundrous SW slope of a ridge between the headwaters of the Chikty Rivulet, 2600 m above sea level, the southern principle slope of the Yuzhno-Chuiskii mountain range, the upper Dzhazator River basin, Kosh-Agach District, Altai Republic, West Siberia, Russia. 10th July 1998. O. Kosterin.
