Range: Europe, Anterior and Central Asia, S Ural, S Siberia, the Russian Far East, Mongolia, N China.

ssp: barkhatovi P. Gorbunov, 2001: range: Altai Mts.

A copulation, wings closed, on Aster alpinum L.

A subalpine short forb meadow on an opening in an open larch forest on the southern principle slope of the Yuzhno-Chuiskii mountain range between the Chikty and Akbul Rivulets , 2100 m above sea level, the upper Dzhazator River basin, Kosh-Agach District, Altai Republic, West Siberia, Russia. 16th July 1998.
