Lycaena phlaeas (Linnaeus, 1761) - Small Copper.
This species is an extremely eager fighter with intrudors and sometimes attacks a lense while being photographed.
Range: N Africa, the non-tropical Euroasia north to the Polar regions, N America.
ssp.: oxiana Grum-Grshimailo, 1890; range: the Kopet-Dagh, Pamiro-Alai, Tien Shan Mts.
A male; wings open.
