Lycaena phlaeas (Linnaeus, 1761) - Small Copper.
This species is an extremely eager fighter with intrudors and sometimes attacks a lense while being photographed.
Range: N Africa, the non-tropical Euroasia north to the Polar regions, N America.
ssp. phlaeas; range: Europe, SW Asia, Kazakhstan, Siberia, Mongolia, NW China, the Far East except for the Pacific regions.
