Barren rocky slopes covered by stonyn steppe of the mountains north of the city of Kyzyl, on the Ulug-Khem (Enisei) River right bank, being the southern foothills of the Uyukskii mountain range. This is a typical landscape of the Central Tuvinian Intermontane Hollow.
