A right arm (Novyi Onon) of the Onon River, one of the major rivers of Transbaikalia froming the great Amur River, a birthplace of Genghis Khan. On its right bank there is a great pine forest called Tsasucheiskii Bor which is offensive on the steppe. It is formed by Pinus sylvestris krylovii (Serg. et Kondr.) Busik, an endemic pine-tree subspecies resistent to a very arid climate of Dahurian Steppes, which grows locally on the banks of the Onon River middle flow and is used for forestation of steppes in Transbaikalia and China.
