In the zone of Dahurian steppes the last outposts of birch (Betula pendula Roth.), as in this case, or aspen woods are hidden at the foots of reloc granite cliffs (zeugens, monadnocks) crowning moderate ridges such as on a moderate elevation Adon-Chelon, crowned with impressive relic granite cliffs (zeugens), which resides in Dahurian Steppes (NE extreme of the Euroasian steppe) and exhibits the so-called Gobi-type relief.
