Pyrgus alveus (Hubner, 1803) - Large Grizzled Skipper.
RANGE: The temperate Eurasia eastwards to NE Siberia, Transbaikalia and East Mongolia, northwards to the northern taiga zone.
ssp: alveus (Hubner, 1803); range: Europe and Siberia.

Alternating open larch forest and forb meadow on the southern principle slope of the Yuzhno-Chuiskii mountain range between the Chikty and Akbul Rivulets , 2100 m alt., the upper Dzhazator River basin, Kosh-Agach District, Altai Republic, West Siberia, Russia. 13th July 1998. O. Kosterin.


Ареал: умеренная Евразия к востоку до СВ Сибири, Забайкалья и Восточной Монголии, на север до зоны северной тайги.
